The flowering part of the marijuana plant containing the highest concentration of cannabinoids such as THC (tetrahydrocannabinol). This is the portion typically smoked or used to create extracts. Female flowers contain higher concentrations of cannabinoids than male flowers and produce seeds when fertilized. If left unfertilized, they will continue to produce resin containing active cannabinoids.
